Pittsburgh is home to a number of museums with world-class collections. From September to April, University of Pittsburgh students get free admission to many of these museums through the University’s Pitt Arts program:

- Carnegie Museum of Art
- Carnegie Museum of Natural History
- Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center (a Smithsonian Museum)
- Mattress Factory Art Museum
- Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
- Soldiers and Sailors Monument and Museum
